ASCP General Fund

The ASCP Foundation provides you with a way to advance diagnostic medicine and public health across the globe. The ASCP Foundation is focused on making a difference in three critical areas:

·        Improving Global Health.

·        Supporting Emerging Laboratory Leaders.

·        Promoting Recognition of Diagnostic Medicine.

Contributions to the ASCP Foundation’s general fund will be directed by ASCP to the areas most in need.

ASCP Emergency Relief Fund

The ASCP Emergency Relief Fund is a standing fund, collecting donations to assist and support those in the medical community affected by natural and other disasters in the United States. Our fund is currently supporting members and laboratories who have been affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton throughout the southeast United States. Please consider giving today and together we can help provide supplies to laboratories in need.

If you were affected by this natural disaster and would like to apply for relief, we are accepting submissions until Monday, November 11th.

ASCP Foundation Dr. Alex Feldman Memorial Fund

Dr. Alexander Feldman (1984-2022) was a dedicated and passionate person, in every facet of his life, including as an ASCP volunteer. Serving as past Chair of the Resident Council, Alex additionally sat on the ASCP Board of Directors, Commission on Membership, Commission on Continuing Professional Development, Pathologist Council, Finance Committee, and Nominations Committee. His commitment to ASCP’s mission was evident throughout the advancement of his career, with teaching as a focus. Alex is a quintessential representation of a strong ASCP volunteer and is deeply missed not only by his colleagues, but foremost, his friends. The donations received through his fund will be placed in the General Fund, which is used to support young professionals finding their way at ASCP.

ASCP Foundation Dr. John M. Wayne Memorial Fund

In memory of Dr. John Wayne, donations to the ASCP Foundation will be used to support the ASCP Foundation Grants and Scholarship Program to assist resident and laboratory students expand their knowledge and skills.

Cindy Johns Scholarship

The late Cindy Johns left an amazing legacy to the medical laboratory profession, ASCP and quality patient care. A champion of the medical laboratory profession, a former ASCP Board member, and an ASCP Patient Champion, Ms. Johns, MSA, MASCP, MLS(ASCP)CMSHCM, passed away in late 2017 of metastatic breast cancer.


In honor of Cindy's contributions to the medical laboratory profession, the ASCP Foundation has established an endowment that will promote the future of the profession through scholarships.Your gift will allow the ASCP Foundation to provide scholarships to laboratory students across the country. Donate to the ASCP Foundation Cindy Johns Scholarship Fund today to honor Cindy and ensure the legacy of her work continues. 

Dr. Alvin Ring Empowerment Fund for Laboratory Professionals

The Dr. Alvin Ring Empowerment Scholarship for Laboratory Professionals was established to support recruitment and retention of a resilient and diverse laboratory workforce. Donations to this fund will contribute to next year's scholarships.
