  • “Office hours” will be provided with faculty to discuss difficult cases/concepts individually

General Information:

This is a cutting edge course in which renowned hematopathologists address the daily questions and problems that arise in the field. In addition to the standard lectures, an option exists for an introductory day (for additional cost) to cover basic hematopathology classification, triaging, and practice. The subsequent two and a half days will provide expert discussion and guidance in more detail.

Topics include all areas of hematopathology including morphology (myeloid and lymphoid), flow cytometry, and molecular diagnostics/next generation sequencing. The course will cover appropriate test utilization and algorithms for diagnosis and subclassification. An emphasis is placed on close interaction with attendees in order to answer any questions and help provide a framework for approaching difficult cases.

The faculty members have been chosen for their national prominence and dynamic teaching skills. Participants will find them very approachable and practical. As the faculty members have all been practicing for over 10 years, each will be able to provide important diagnostic pearls and personal approaches to complex areas of practice.
