This webcast course will provide an overview of the current state of the opioid crisis in the U.S. and will focus on the role of the laboratory in supporting the patients and physicians who are on the front lines. The course will review the epidemiology of opioid abuse, lab-based testing, relevant laboratory practice guidelines, and potential issues related to test results. The course will also touch on potential legal issues associated with opioid-related testing.
