Soft tissue pathology remains one of the most difficult areas in dermatopathology. There is significant overlap between entities with regard to histologic features, terminology, and immunophenotype. Further complicating interpretation is the number of morphologic variants that may be encountered. As a result, diagnostic confusion remains an issue in cutaneous soft tissue pathology. This webcast course will utilize a case-based format to provide a practical pattern-based approach to the most common and important diagnostic dilemmas encountered in cutaneous soft tissue tumor pathology. Critical differentiation of morphologic features and an evidence-based, practical, and cost-effective approach to the use of ancillary diagnostic tools will be emphasized.
