This webcast will provide participants with a broad overview of the field of digital pathology, including the underlying technology, use cases, benefits and limitations. In addition there will be discussion on regulatory issues and workflow considerations with a focus on how this technology impacts the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory. The session is intended for anyone interested in: (i.) obtaining a basic understanding of digital pathology, (ii.) a refresher course on the current state of digital pathology, and (iii.) how this technology impacts the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory.
After attending this session, participants will be able to:
· Have a broad and basic overview of the field of Digital Pathology to include the underlying technology, use cases, benefits and limitations.
· Understand regulatory and work flow considerations with a focus on the impact to the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory.
