LMU Contemporary Issue Course 3- Moving From the Bench to a Laboratory Leadership Position: Lessons Learned

There is always a need for quality laboratory leaders, however, many feel unprepared when they make the leap from the bench to a supervisory position and costly mistakes are often made. This course will assist the student in preparing for common pitfalls that new and existing laboratory leaders face on a regular basis. Specific topics that will be covered included proper delegation, effective time management skills, the difference in the supervisory role and transition tips, and the responsibility to grow new laboratory leaders.
