Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to: 

• List ways that recognition awards by Pathology societies may assist in career advancement and opportunities. 

• Summarize the gender distribution of awards given by three major generalist pathology societies and compare this to the proportions of men and women in the profession of pathology. 

• Describe the gender distribution according to the type of award received, as well as the trends of the number of awards received by men and women over time.
