·        discuss fetal/neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT), including symptoms, prevalence, and etiology; 
·        describe laboratory testing that aids in the diagnosis of FNAIT;  
·        interpret results of laboratory testing for FNAIT;  
·        identify common treatments for a neonate with FNAIT; 
·        discuss prenatal management options for pregnancies at risk for FNAIT; and 
·        summarize the challenges associated with screening pregnancies to identify those at risk for FNAIT.
