Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:

• identify kidney tumors meriting diagnostic workup in the spectrum of oncocytic renal tumors, using histologic and immunohistochemical adjunctive tests as necessary;
• employ histologic and immunophenotypic criteria for diagnosis of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma and oncocytoma;
• recognize oncocytic tumor types meriting workup for hereditary predisposition syndromes;
• describe emerging low-risk tumor types in the new World Health Organization category of “other oncocytic tumors of the kidney.”
