Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:
· recognize characteristic cytomorphologic features of intrapancreatic accessory spleens (IPAS) on cytology preparations;
· understand the utility and pattern of CD8 immunohistochemical staining in the cytologic diagnosis of accessory spleens;
· recognize IPAS histology on cytologic specimens; and
· identify characteristic cytomorphologic features to differentiate key differential diagnoses for IPASs.
