Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:
· identify key cytologic and histopathologic features of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma;
· formulate a differential diagnosis for anaplastic thyroid carcinoma;
· describe an appropriate immunohistochemical panel to work up a case of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma; and
· recognize common gene mutations and possible targeted therapies in thyroid carcinomas.
