Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:

• explain the clinical and cytologic features of epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) on fine-needle aspiration (FNA) and effusion cytology;
• differentiate EHE from other more common epithelioid neoplasms that show similar morphology on cytomorphology;
• select appropriate immunohistochemical stains to distinguish EHE from other neoplasms in its differential diagnosis; and
• recognize the relevant mutations in EHE and other entities in its differential diagnosis.
