Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:
· identify the constellation of histologic features seen in IgA-dominant glomerulonephritis;
· recognize the helpful histologic and clinical features in distinguishing IgA-dominant infection-related glomerulonephritis from IgA glomerulonephritis;
· establish the diagnosis of IgA-dominant infection-related glomerulonephritis using light microscopy findings, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy; and
· discuss the clinical manifestations, treatment, and prognosis of IgA-dominant infection-related glomerulonephritis in patients.
