· develop an approach for the evaluation of nonneoplastic renal parenchyma in nephrectomy specimens;
· discuss the key clinical parameters to consider when evaluating nonneoplastic renal parenchyma;
· identify key reporting elements within the nonneoplastic renal parenchyma that are clinically relevant for patient care; and
· discuss additional tools available in the diagnostic workup of nonneoplastic renal diseases from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
