Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:
· recognize the morphologic features of lymph nodes associated with adult-onset immunodeficiency syndrome (AOIS) due to anti–interferon gamma autoantibodies;
· analyze immunohistochemical stains and other ancillary tests in the workup of lymphadenopathy associated with AOIS;
· distinguish the lymph node findings in AOIS from its common mimickers; and
· describe the strategy for diagnosing AOIS.
